Samsung Galaxy S III- What's so special about it?

In present scenario, we can't even imagine to lead a life without mobile phones. They have become an indispensable part of our life. Recently, Samsung had captured more than half of the market with its newly launched android Smart phone “Samsung Galaxy S III”. As we all know, it is one of the most popular as well as trendy handset so far. But why is that so?

Samsung Galaxy S III has the tag line “Designed for humans, Inspired by nature”. There are various features in this phone which had driven millions of users crazy. It has a touch screen of 4.8 inches which is very colorful and bright. It is a very light weight phone that weighs around 133 g and is 8.6 mm thick. The best part is that the storage varies depending upon the model. It can be 16 GB, 32 GB or even 64 GB and holds a micro SD slot that is easily expandable. It is also possible to run Google applications that include Google maps. Surprisingly, this phone has a special feature. You can even talk to your phone. Yes, this phone can be considered to be your personal secretary. This feature is known as S Voice. You can tell your phone to turn off for a few more minutes and let yourself sleep. It is in a way quite similar to i Tunes ‘Siri’ but it does much more than apple’s offerings. Let’s have a look!

S voice versus Siri: Conflict of the voice assistants-
    • S voice can actually perform geographical searches whereas Siri in this case ignores locational queries.
    • Siri provides an ahead of answer with its rival Samsung which means it is quicker than s voice.
    • S voice can even schedule meetings which appear to be one of the strongest features in Samsung.

Though ‘Siri’ was a success for iphone 4S, but it could not be used and was soon replaced by Samsung’s s voice. But the voice assistants can even lead to misinterpretations sometimes.

Smart Stay is a feature in S III in which the screen remains on when the user looks at the screen; otherwise it sleeps which means that it tracks our eye movement. It possesses some more attributes such as Direct Call which allows the user to call a person whose text message is currently on screen simply by lifting the phone to the ear. But this could become problematic sometimes as its sensitivity is so high.

There is one more feature Pop up Play that allows you to do multiple activities at the same time. This means that you can watch videos while you text or email simultaneously. The Galaxy S III uses the very latest version of Android; 4.0 named Ice Cream Sandwich. It is an excellent mobile operating system that is very comfortable to work with. This feature has the face recognition capability as well and provides features such as file transfer through which you can send or receive huge files such as videos very quickly known as SBeam. This is done just via a touch. Smart Alert let you know about the missed calls, text messages simply by vibrating gently in case you have missed it. Automatic tagging of
pictures is also possible in S III. This simply makes the phone classy.

But is that all to buy the so called “Galaxy S III”?

There are few more striking things which I am sure will surely attract you. This phone is developed keeping in mind the human necessities. The 2100mAh battery is really powerful and can let you get through the whole day. It is the first ever phone to feature wireless charging (Wi-Fi). This phone is available in two color options—MARBLE WHITE and PEBBLE BLUE which is a refreshing change. It is also expected to come in RED.  The CAMERA too is awesome. The eight megapixel camera is impressive and captures crisp images. It is quick and captures images in the blink of an eye and the video too is great.

So, the overall performance can be considered brilliant. As known, Samsung Galaxy S III is the replacement of S II. But how is it better than S II?

    •  The S II holds a screen of 4.3-inch with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and ppi pixel density of 217 which is overcome by S III that provides a screen of 4.6-inch HD with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and ppi pixel density of 319.
    • The processor of S II is dual core powered by the ARM Cortex A9 processor whereas S III provides quad core and takes things further which makes its performance flawless emerging a winner.

Though S III has advantages such as user friendliness and easily understandable gesture controls which have made it pretty much simple, yet it has certain points which could be a little disappointing to many users too…

It is rumored that the plastic build of S III might not appear pleasing to many users. There are many automatic controls in galaxy S III that could be quite confusing for some. Still it provides many more qualities which make it better than the others.

Why go for S III and can it compete with its rival Iphone4S?

This according to me, I think is the most interesting question and a doubt in everyone’s mind that why should we prefer S III and not iphone 4S.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 either performs better than the IPhone 4S or they’re on equal ground. Even, S III has free navigation software. In terms of navigating the menu and accessing different apps as mentioned, the S3 appears to be slightly faster than the 4S. Thus it possesses all the features that match up with the apple 4s.

So as a whole, I think you can go for S III and invest your money in it as it is worth buying and I hope this was quite informative to you if you are interested in buying the phone.
